From Germany via the A7
The easiest route is via the A7 motorway towards Ulm – Kempten. Take the Oy-Mittelberg exit and follow the B310 towards Wertach and Oberjoch. In Oberjoch, turn left into the Tannheimer Valley and continue via Schattwald, Zöblen and Tannheim to Grän am Haldensee.
An alternative route also follows the A7 to the Oy-Mittelberg exit and continues via Nesselwang and Pfronten directly towards Grän.
From Munich
Depending on your route, drive from Munich along the A96 towards Landsberg/Memmingen and continue towards Kempten/Oy-Mittelberg, or via Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Reutte and Weißenbach into the Tannheimer Valley. Allow around two hours for the journey by car – depending on traffic, weather and the time of year.
From Stuttgart, Ulm and the Allgäu
: From Stuttgart and Ulm, the easiest route is via the A7 towards Kempten. From Oy-Mittelberg, follow the signs towards Oberjoch and the Tannheimer Valley. The route takes you toll-free all the way to Grän on Lake Haldensee.
From Switzerland
From Switzerland, you can reach the Tannheim Valley via the Lake Constance region, Lindau, Isny and Kempten, or via the Arlberg – Landeck – Fern Pass – Reutte – Weißenbach route. From Weißenbach, follow the road further into the Tannheim Valley as far as Grän am Haldensee.
From Italy or from the direction of Innsbruck/Vienna
From the direction of Innsbruck, the route leads via Mötz, the Fern Pass, Reutte and Weißenbach into the Tannheim Valley. From there, continue towards Tannheim and Grän am Haldensee.
