No wonder, as here you can hike on three different levels: from easy walks in the valley to tours of medium difficulty on alpine paths and demanding peak tours to several mountains of 2,000 m in height – the Tyrolean high valley offers hikes for all age groups, requirements and skill levels.

Cycling & Mountain-biking:

Discover the very enchanting and varied landscape of the Tannheim Valley on 40 km of asphalted cycling paths.
The cycling paths are away from the state road and consistently sign-posted. Via Schattwald in the direction of Rehbach you reach Ober- and Unterjoch in Allgäu – take a break at "Floschen" marsh pond. Or cycle through Tannheim and Gränweiter to the new shore promenade at Haldensee Lake all the way to Nesselwängele. You will enjoy a visit to the Vilsalpsee nature resort.

KING'S CASTLES

A day excursions to the King's Castles is very popular amongst our guests: Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Linderhof Castle are not far from the hotel.

EHRENBERG CASTLE

Located east of Reutte you'll find the imposing and impregnable castle and fortress assembly of Ehrenberg. The castle and fortress assembly is floodlit by night and can be seen from all sides. It conveys the former power and two thousand years of history of a European dimension.

MUSEUM OF LOCAL HISTORY

The old farm house in Tannheim/Kienzen reminds us of past times. You can view living rooms furnished in the style of our ancestors, ancient tools, vehicles, and musical instruments exhibited on an area of more than 700 m².   Furthermore, you can admire innumerable old pictures giving an insight into the life of past times.
